This specimen of the Japanese azalea variety kinsai is an outstanding bonsai. The wide and powerful nebari, the sinuous trunk that splits and the primary branches with the right diameters are the most important characteristics of this azalea. Between the end of May and the beginning of June, the foliage will be filled with a strong red flowering, which is characteristic for this variety. The photos are from July 2024, after pruning and repotting in kanuma substrate.
