On September 11th and 12th, 2021, the Bonsai Festival was held in Andora (SV) at the Parco delle Farfalle, an ideal place for this type of event. The park allows for outdoor activities and, thanks to the still summery climate of Liguria, it's possible to spend a weekend of vacation accompanied by our great passion for bonsai.
A heartfelt thanks goes to Giancarlo Pezzoni, Samuel Corazza, Paolo Giai, the entire Drynemetum club, the Ponente Bonsai club of Savona, and the Amatori Bonsai and Suiseki club of Genoa for the excellent organization of this event. This year, In Arte Bonsai was also involved in the organization of the festival, and we sincerely hope that the collaboration between Ligurian entities can continue to be productive in the future.
In this and past editions, In Arte Bonsai was present in the market area together with many traders and producers not only in the bonsai sector. The park can accommodate around thirty sales spaces, as well as a bar that is always open during the congress and the Comitato di San Giovanni, which is an association that has cooked typical Ligurian dishes for exhibitors and visitors.
A very large tent has instead housed the exhibition with about sixty tokonoma set up between bonsai, suiseki, and kusamono. Unlike what we are usually used to seeing, a single exhibition saw a harmonious and varied alternation between bonsai, suiseki, and kusamono, really impressive.
Inside the tensile structure, all the activities and animations scheduled took place, respecting the anti-pandemic regulations in force: from the lectures by Paolo Giai and Giorgio Rosati, to the origami and sumi-e workshops, up to the works carried out in the competition reserved for amateurs.
Great satisfactions have come for us from the artistic side of the event: within the exhibition, the Instructor IBS Carmelo Bonanno's Scots pine won the Best Bonsai Award, while our students won First Place in the works competition, thanks to the setting of a lentisk.
What else to say, two days during which In Arte Bonsai, at its own stand, was able to show live the quality of its products and bonsai in the catalog, as well as share the passion for bonsai with many other enthusiasts. For this reason, In Arte Bonsai thanks all the friends and customers who have traveled many kilometers by car to reach us and spend time with us on this Ligurian weekend in mid-September.
To conclude, we propose some photos of the bonsai on display and our guys at work during their technical demonstration.
The In Arte Bonsai project was created to bring on the internet experience and professionalism in the field of bonsai nursery and education. On our website, customers can find a wide selection of bonsai trees and everything needed for the practice of this fascinating and ancient art. Through constant care and attention to details, In Arte Bonsai aims at providing uniquee, exclusive and high-quality materials.
